Doctoral Colloquium to be organized in cooperation with Bielefeld University and Bielefeld University of Applied Sciences and Arts

Sponsored by DAAD and organized by TGU PhD in Business Administration Program and Bielefeld University of Applied Sciences and Arts and Bielefeld University, the PhD colloquium for the Spring Semester of the 2024-2025 academic year will be held on 15 April 2025 at TGU campus, open to all TGU faculty and students. The program will start with the speeches of Prof. Dr. Hermann Jahnke from Bielefeld University and Prof. Dr. Rıza Öztürk from Bielefeld University of Applied Sciences and Arts, the partner of the Doctoral Program in Business Administration. Following this, the students of TGU PhD in Business Administration Program will give information about their academic interests. 

Following this, researchers from Bielefeld University of Applied Sciences and Arts will give presentations on their fields of research. Prof. Dr. Hüseyin Doluca will introduce his research areas, Prof. Dr. Felix Zeidler will present “Using Data for Scientific Researches”, Prof. Dr. Alexander Förster will talk about his own research, and Dr. Daniel Winkelmann will present "The PhD journey: Milestones to get (a paper) done". Abdul Erduran will present on an interdisciplinary paper. 

In the second half of the colloquium, researchers from TGU will share their current work. Didem Nur Saydamoğlu Top will present her study titled “The Impact of Big Five Personality Traits on Online Customer Experience and Purchase Intention of Fashion Retail Products”, followed by Celal Aslan's "I Would Have Brought Over So Much More! - Determinants of the Consumer Behavior of Turkish-Germans in Istanbul". Ebru Vehibe Bekar will share her study on “The challenges faced by female entrepreneurs in accessing sources of finance” and Alper Engin will present "Passion of Business Founders: A Meta-Analysis of Female Immigrant Entrepreneurs". In addition, Ömer Hurmacı, one of the research assistants of the Department of Business Administration, will present "Defending one's time: a psychological ownership perspective of urban space consumption".
