Doctoral Colloquium organized in cooperation with Bielefeld University and Bielefeld University of Applied Sciences and Arts

Sponsored by DAAD and organized by TAU PhD in Business Administration Program and Bielefeld University of Applied Sciences and Arts and Bielefeld University, the PhD colloquium for the Spring Semester of the 2024-2025 academic year was held on 15 April 2025 at TAU campus. The event started with the opening speeches of Prof. Dr. Hermann Jahnke from Bielefeld University and Prof. Dr. Rıza Öztürk from Bielefeld University of Applied Sciences and Arts, the partner of the program, and continued with the introduction of the opportunities and facilities offered by DAAD, Bielefeld University and the partner university for visiting researchers. Then, the students of TAU PhD in Business Administration Program introduced themselves and gave information about their academic interests.
Participants from Bielefeld University of Applied Sciences and Arts shared examples of their research work. In this context, Prof. Dr. Hüseyin Doluca made a presentation on his research area, while Prof. Dr. Felix Zeidler made a presentation on his study titled “Using Data for Scientific Researches”. Then Prof. Dr. Alexander Förster made a presentation on “How to make a scientific publication”. Dr. Daniel Winkelmann, a graduate of Bielefeld University PhD program, presented “The PhD journey: Milestones to get (a paper) done”.
Participants from the Turkish German University shared examples of their research studies. In this context, Ebru Vehibe Bekar, one of the students of the PhD in Business Administration Program, made a presentation on her study titled “The challenges faced by female entrepreneurs in accessing sources of finance”, while Alper Engin, one of the students of the program, made a presentation on his study titled “Passion of Business Founders: A Meta-Analysis of Female Immigrant Entrepreneurs”. Didem Nur Saydamoğlu Top, one of the students of TAU PhD in Business Administration Program, made a presentation on her study titled “The Impact of Big Five Personality Traits on Online Customer Experience and Purchase Intention of Fashion Retail Products”, while Seçkin Çöper, one of the program students, made a presentation on his study titled “Empirical Assessment of AI-Powered Assistants in the Workplace: A UTAUT-Based Study on Microsoft Co-Pilot in the Automotive Sector”. The event ended with the presentation of Ömer Hurmacı, Research Assistant at TAU Department of Business Administration, on his study titled “Defending one's time: a psychological ownership perspective of urban space consumption”.
