Munich Visit of PhD Students

Between 10-14 June, the students of the PhD programme participated in an academic trip to Munich, which was organised in cooperation with the "Theo-Münch-Stiftung für die Deutsche Sprache". The students were accompanied by Prof. Dr. Dilek Zamantılı Nayır and Prof. Dr. Müge Klein from the Department of Business Administration. Within the scope of the trip, research collaborations were developed, academic contacts were established and information about the start-up ecosystem of the city of Munich was acquired.

On 10 June 2024, PhD students made their first visit to TUM (Technische Universität München) International GmbH, which operates on the premises of the Munich Urban Collaboration Centre. The students had a meeting with Jana Legtenborg, who works as Business Development Director and Senior Project Manager at TUM International GmbH. During the meeting, students had the opportunity to learn about TUM International GmbH and to evaluate possible areas of cooperation.

On 11 June 2024, students continued their programme with a visit to IU International University of Applied Sciences and attended the Search Engine Marketing (Suchmaschinenmarketing) course given by Rudolf Müller-Goldhorn. After the course, which was taught in an interactive environment, the students held meetings with the students and researchers of the host institution in order to establish academic connections and develop research collaborations.

On 12 June, students visited Ludwig-Maximilians-Universität Innovation and Entrepreneurship Center (Ludwig-Maximilians-Universität Innovation and Entrepreneurship Center) as the guest of Prof. Dr. Ali Aslan Gümüşay, who is a member of the board of directors of the center, and received information about the activities conducted at the center and university-start-up ecosystem collaborations. After the briefing, students held meetings with PhD students and researchers working at the centre to discuss possible future collaborations.

Finally, on 13 June 2024, students visited IU International University of Applied Sciences and attended a course on Digital Business Models (Digitale Business Modelle) given by Prof. Dr. Stefan Remhof, who is a board member of the "Theo-Münch-Stiftung für die Deutsche Sprache". After the lecture, our students had meetings with the host institution's students and researchers and returned to Turkey on 14 June 2024.
